Read more about the cooking with electricity (eCooking) competition held in Kigali, Rwanda, October 2021, in this blog by Herbert Njiru Nyaga (Energy 4 Impact). The competition was hosted by Energy 4 Impact as part of their research collaboration with MECS where a cooking diaries study was conducted to further understanding of cultural cooking practices and the viability of eCooking for Rwandan households. The preliminary findings show that cooking with elctricity was appreciated as an energy efficient and cost-effective method of cooking by participants.
